If there’s one appliance a homeowner should splurge on, it’s their water heater. Having enough hot water, when you need it, and saving money on energy expenses is absolutely top-of-the-list when it comes to being comfortable in your own home. Rinnai tankless water heaters take heating water for your home to a whole new level.
Instant Hot Water in Less Space
We’re all familiar with a traditional tank water heater, the kind that sits in a corner of the basement or storage room and takes up a lot of space. What we don’t always think about is that these traditional water heaters work 24/7 burning gas to keep water hot — even in the middle of the night while everyone in your home is asleep. This results in wasted energy and higher heating costs.
Rinnai tankless water heaters avoid this issue entirely, only heating water as-needed, and delivering it to your faucet when you turn on the tap. Water Heaters Now uses the Rinnai smart recirculating unit, which keeps your hot water moving through your plumbing system so that there is always hot water ready to flow when you need it. You save water, get your hot water faster, and with the recirculating unit your efficiency is .95 which means you qualify for the Inflation Reduction Act tax credit.
The latest models of Rinnai tankless water heaters do all this with an incredibly small footprint — about the size of a suitcase, saving you space and even allowing for installations in closets. This makes them an ideal choice for smaller homes and remodels, while still pumping out enough hot water to meet all your family’s hot water needs.
Endless Hot Water, Hard-to-Beat Energy Efficiency
That’s not an overstatement: the latest models on the market today can deliver virtually endless hot water to your faucets, showerheads, washers, and tubs. The latest WiFi-enabled models from Rinnai heat water faster than ever before, and can provide far more water all at once than they used to. No more cold water coming through the pipes halfway through your shower — now everyone in the family can get a hot shower, no screaming about water-hogging necessary.
Tankless hot water heaters have caught up and even surpassed many tank water heaters in their capacity. New models, like the new and improved Rinnai SENSEI™ Super High Efficiency Plus (SE+) Series, can pull in up to 199,000 BTU of energy and put out a staggering 11 gallons per minute (GPM) of hot water, which means a seriously fast flow rate for your hot water needs.
The Rinnai SENSEI™ Super High Efficiency Plus (SE+) Series also has a uniform energy factor (UEF) of a staggering .95, which is the newest measure of overall water heater efficiency. The higher the UEF value, the more efficient the water heater is.
Available as both liquid propane tankless water heaters and natural gas applications, these ENERGY-STAR rated water heaters provide top-of-the-line, on-demand water heating for your family. And these Rinnai tankless water heaters provide this level of hot water while saving you money. With new rebates available on both tankless and heat pump water heaters, often at both the state and federal level, the higher installation costs of a condensing tankless water heater is as approachable as it’s ever been.
Long Lifespan, Less Leaks
Rinnai tankless water heaters also last twice as long as a tank water heater, largely because you virtually eliminate the issue of corrosion inside the tank by getting rid of the tank entirely. Since there’s no tank to hold gallons and gallons of water, leaks aren’t really a worry either. Tankless water heaters also have parts that last longer and are easier to repair when something does go wrong, leaving you with fewer issues over the life of your tankless water heater.
Twice as long lasting and with twice the warranty — that sounds too good to be true, but it’s all made real with Rinnai tankless water heaters.
Professional Tankless Water Heater Installation for Your Home
When you have a Rinnai PRO install your Rinnai tankless water heater, you can be sure that they’ll install it properly the first time and handle any issues that arise and make sure everything needed for a proper install is there.
Depending on your current water heater setup, there may be additional venting on a new propane or natural gas tankless water heater, but our PRO installers will tell you exactly what you need to get your tankless water heater up and running as fast as possible.
Manufactured in America
Rinnai America Corporation introduced tankless water heating to homeowners in the North American market in 1999. In 2018, Rinnai manufactured the company’s first American-made tankless water in Griffin, Georgia. Since then, Rinnai has completed an entire new facility – finished in 2021 – establishing a commitment to manufacture and innovate right here in North America – which also means parts are on-shore and readily available if and when they are needed. Backed by some of the best-in-the-business warranties, and it’s hard to go wrong with installing a professional grade Rinnai tankless water heater.
What would prevent me from getting a tankless?
While we can spend forever singing the praises of tankless water heaters (and as you can tell, we do), we want our customers to make the best, most informed decision for themselves. There are some important things you should know that might make you not want to get a tankless.
To ensure proper function and efficiency, you absolutely need to make sure you flush the tankless unit annually. Unlike a tank, if you don’t flush a tankless it will fail prematurely. Fortunately, it’s something you can do on your own and you don’t have to pay an expensive annual labor cost to get it done. Here’s a blog post on how to do it and here’s a YouTube video of Ray showing you how to get it done, easy peasy.
Additionally, it’s important to look at your tankless water heater as an investment in your home. This is part of why it’s so important to take care of your tankless. It will often last almost twice as long as a tank and give you energy savings, and it does have a higher up front cost than a tank (but will pay you back over time in energy savings!).
